Independence Visitor Center

• Open daily 9 am–5 pm
• Starting May 12: Open daily, 9 am–6 pm (National Park Service desk closes at 5 pm).

 

Liberty Bell Center

• Open daily 9 am–5 pm
• Security screening closes at least 5 minutes before the building closes.

 

President's House Site

• Open daily 7 am–10 pm

 

Independence Square Buildings

The buildings in the Independence Square security area include Independence Hall, Congress Hall, and the Great Essentials Exhibit in the West Wing. Access to the Square is through a security entrance located on the south side of Independence Hall. Visitors can access the security entrance using the stairs or accessibility ramp on 5th Street, between Chestnut and Walnut Streets. Security screening closes at least 15 minutes prior to the building closing times.

• 10:40 am–4 pm: Tours every 20 minutes (tickets required)
• 4:20 pm: Expanded tour to the second floor (tickets required and not accessible)

The Franklin Court complex includes the Benjamin Franklin Museum, the Franklin Court Printing Office, the B. Free Franklin branch of the US Post Office, and America's National Park Store in the Benjamin Franklin Museum.

• Open Monday–Friday 10 am–5 pm. Last printing demonstration at 4:30 pm.

B. Free Franklin branch of the U.S. Post Office

• Open Monday–Saturday 9 am–12:45 pm and 2 pm–5 pm (staffing permitting)
