What Pass Do I Need?
Acadia National Park Entrance PassesThese passes are valid only at Acadia National Park and may be purchased online or in person. You do not need an additional Acadia entrance pass if you already have a federal lands pass.
Valid for seven days
Admits private, non-commercial vehicle (15 passenger capacity or less) and all occupants. This includes rental cars, RVs, and vans with fewer than 16 passengers.

Admits one or two passengers on a private, non-commercial motorcycle.

Admits one individual with no car (bicyclist, hiker, pedestrian). Youth 15 and under are admitted free of charge.

This pass provides access to Acadia National Park only. This pass admits the pass holder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle.
School groups and other academic institutions may qualify for an Educaional Fee Waiver. If not qualified, please check fees for large or commercial groups below.
Groups entering Acadia by bus, van, or other high-capacity vehicles (16 people or more) must pay an organized group entrance fee.

Youth (15 years old and under): Free
Are you operating a business that provides leisure or recreational services while in the park? If so, it is considered a commercial group and you are required to have a Commercial Use Authorization.
A commercial group is defined as consisting of one or more persons traveling on an itinerary that has been packaged, priced, or sold for leisure or recreational purposes by an organization that realizes financial gain through the provisions of the service. National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Passes
Federal Lands Passes allow entrance at all National Parks and other federal recreation sites, including National Forests and U.S. Fish and Wildlife sites. A variety of federal lands passes are available online and in person at Acadia. These passes include:
Federal Recreational Lands Pass Types
Also called "America the Beautiful Pass". Valid for 12 months from purchase month.
This is an annual pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or older.
This is a lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over.
This is a free pass for U.S. military veterans, active duty personnel and their dependents, and Gold Star families with valid documentation.
Gold Star families: Please download a voucher to fill out before arriving at the park.
Valid for life. This is a lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities.
This pass is for volunteers acquiring 250 service hours on a cumulative basis. Learn about volunteer opportunities at Acadia.
This is a free pass for U.S. 4th grade students. Please visit www.everykidoutdoors.gov for instructions on how to obtain the voucher required to exchange for the pass. This pass is valid for 12 months beginning September of the year the student begins 4th grade and valid until the following August.
Enjoy the convenience of purchasing your pass before you arrive. Once you have printed your pass, you can head directly to a trailhead or parking lot and leave the printed pass on your dashboard.
How to Use Your Pass
Because Acadia has several entrances, there is no single entrance station before you arrive in the park.
Display your entrance pass in your vehicle's dashboard. If you bought your pass online, please print your pass before you arrive.
By foot/bicycle/taxi/busCarry your pass with you. If you have a vehicle pass but are (re)entering the park by other means, have one member of your group carry your vehicle pass. If your pass is on your cell phone, please download or take a screenshot of the QR/confirmation code, as cell service in the park is limited.
Cadillac Mountain Vehicle ReservationCadillac Mountain vehicle reservations must be purchased online before you arrive at Acadia. You will be asked to show your reservation conservation at the entrance to Cadillac Mountain Summit Road. Please print, download, or screenshot your QR/confirmation code before your arrival. Cell phone service is limited in the park and you may not be able to access emails or websites.
