Throughout 2016, we invite you to participate in Find Your Park Experiences to learn, discover, be inspired, or simply have fun in national parks.     Tuzigoot National Monument preserves a pueblo - an archaeological site of the Sinagua Culture. It is also serves as an important area for year-round and migratory birds. Come check out the trails: from the soaring views of the Tower Room, to the meandering marsh trail, you'll find a wide range of birds call Tuzigoot home. Read more

  • Military Kids' Podcasts Meld History, Technology and the Great Outdoors

    OMK youth grinds corn before making a digital story

    On a recent Saturday military kids spent the day learning about the Sinaguan culture that lived at Tuzigoot NM. This is a new partnership between the NPS and Arizona Operation: Military Kids-University of Arizona Cooperative Extension. The youth made digital stories sharing their views of the prehistoric site. They came up with amazing videos - in just one day! Watch to see how the life skills these military kids use every day are the same ones the Sinagua used long ago. Read more
