How to donate to your national park:

  • Make a donation via donation boxes at the Loomis Museum and Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center. Donations collected at these boxes support the park's interpretation and education program.
  • Join the Lassen Association, shop at Lassen Association bookstores in the park or online, or participate in a Lassen Association field seminar.
  • Contribute to the Lassen Park Foundation or attend their annual Peak Experience Auction.
  • Participate in a special fundraising program or event (listed below if available).
  • Donate your time and expertise as an NPS Volunteer.


Lassen Park Foundation

The Lassen Park Foundation is a private, non-profit foundation that supports worthy projects in Lassen Volcanic National Park. The Lassen Park Foundation has contributed funds for projects including the construction of the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center, and is actively involved in leading youth camping trips into the park. Your donations go to projects such as enhanced interpretative and educational activities, wildlife research, trail restoration, challenged youth programs, and cultural resource development.

You can support Lassen Volcanic by donating to the Lassen Park Foundation or making a memorial or honor gift to the Lassen Park Foundation.


Lassen Association

Established in 1939, the Lassen Association is a nonprofit partner that supports and assists Lassen Volcanic National Park in research, interpretation, and conservation programs. The mission of the Lassen Association is to promote the discovery of Lassen Volcanic National Park, enrich the experiences of visitors, and support the preservation and protection of the park for future generations.

Adopt a Pika

Join the Adopt a Pika program in partnership with the Lassen Association and help scientists track pika populations and impacts, like our changing climate, that may affect them. Your symbolic adoption of an American pika in Lassen Volcanic National Park provides funding for:

  • Field scientists to complete annual surveys and conduct climate change related research

  • Remote camera equipment to provide information about pika behavior and create an annual haypile timelapse

Ready, set, hike! Join the Lassen Park Foundation for the inaugural Reach the Peak Hike-A-Thon on Sunday, July 30. Climb Lassen Peak with your fellow park stewards and raise money for the park's Youth Camping Program.
