Junior Ranger Program

Just like park rangers, junior rangers are important people who help preserve and protect Lassen Volcanic National park and all its features for present and future generations.

Become a Lassen Volcanic National Park Junior Ranger
  1. *Pick up a Junior Ranger Activity Booklet at the Loomis Museum or Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center or download here (pdf, 1.7MB).
  2. Follow the directions on the first page to complete the requirements.
  3. Share your completed activites with a ranger at the Loomis Museum or Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center.
  4. Take your oath to receive a Lassen Volcanic National Park Junior Ranger patch for your hard work and dedication to the park!
* The Junior Ranger program is designed to be completed at the park. The activites best fit children ages 7 - 12. Read about the WebRanger program below if you are unable to visit the park in person.
