Junior Ranger Program
Just like park rangers, junior rangers are important people who help preserve and protect Lassen Volcanic National park and all its features for present and future generations.

Become a Lassen Volcanic National Park Junior Ranger
  1. Pick up a *Junior Ranger Activity Booklet at the Loomis Museum or Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center.
  2. Follow the directions on the first page to complete the booklet.
  3. Share your completed booklet with a ranger at the Loomis Museum or Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center.
  4. Take your oath to receive a Lassen Volcanic National Park Junior Ranger patch for your hard work and dedication to the park!
* Alternative - Download the Junior Ranger Activities Booklet (pdf, 3.7 MB) prior to visiting the park to get a head start on activities. Please note that the Lassen Junior Ranger program must be completed at the park. Incomplete booklets mailed to the park will not be accepted. You must complete required activities at the park to receive the patch award. Read about the WebRanger program below if you are unable to visit the park in person.
