Start your career in public lands with the Youth Conservation Corps!

Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) at Pictured Rocks provides an opportunity for students ages 15-18 to gain work experience, meet new people, and spend a summer working in the outdoors!

Pictured Rocks 2025 Youth Conservation Corps Program

Dates: June 16 - August 8. 40 hours per week.
Compensation: $15/hour. Housing is not provided.

Who is eligible?

• Youth, 15 through 18 years of age, who are permanent residents of the United States, are eligible for employment without regard to social, economic, racial, or ethnic backgrounds.
• Youth with physical or other challenges who can effectively participate in most YCC activities are eligible.
• Youth must have no history of serious criminal or other antisocial behavior that might endanger their safety or that of others.
• Have or be able to obtain a work permit as required under the laws of their State.
• Have a Social Security number or have made application of one.

How to Apply

1. Download and fill out the YCC Application.
2. Email your application to Mark Liles ([e-mail]) OR mail your application to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Attn: YCC, PO Box 40, Munising MI 49862; OR drop off your application to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Headquarters at N8391 Sand Point Road, Munising MI 49862, Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm.

Applications are due by May 1st, 2025.
