To get the most out of your visit, the first place to go is the Mesa Verde Visitor and Research Center at the park entrance, where you can plan your visit. Later, explore the historic Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum which will help you gain insights into the lives of the Ancestral Pueblo people.

Visit a cliff dwelling or other cultural site. Both ranger-guided and self-guided tours are available. Keep in mind, if you wish to visit Cliff Palace, Balcony House, or Long House, you must purchase a ticket ahead of time for a ranger-guided tour.

Availability and hours of operation vary seasonally. Be sure to check out the Operating Hours and Seasons page to see what will be available during the time of your visit.
