How to contact the Backcountry Information Center

The South Rim Backcountry Information Center is open daily from 8 am to noon and 1-5 pm Mountain Standard Time. The North Rim Backcountry Office is closed.

The best way to get your questions answered is to Email the Backcountry Information Center.

Backcountry Information Center staff also answer information telephone inquiries at 928-638-7875 between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday, except on federal holidays. This line is often busy - so the best way to reach staff is by email.
