During the summer months an additional 3-mile round trip day hike into the canyon may be offered. Check in the Park Ranger Program webpage for current schedules. Backpacking Guide ServicesA wide range of options exist for guided hiking at Grand Canyon National Park. A list of companies issued Commercial Use Authorizations by the National Park Service to conduct guided overnight backpacking and/or day hiking tours below the rim at Grand Canyon National Park can be found at www.nps.gov/grca/learn/management/cua.htm. Once on that page, scroll down to the bottom and you will find a table of current Commercial Use Authorization holders.
