Towpath Trail section in Cuyahoga Valley National Park to close for tree work

BRECKSVILLE, Ohio –  The National Park Service will temporarily close approximately 1.3 miles of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail between Vaughn Road and the northernmost entrance to the Old Carriage Trail in Sagamore Hills from 7 am on Tuesday, October 11 through 4 pm on Friday, October 14.

This closure is necessary for public safety while crews remove trees and vegetation near electrical lines along the trail. 

CVNP encompasses 33,000 acres along the Cuyahoga River between Cleveland and Akron, Ohio. Managed by the National Park Service, CVNP combines cultural, historical, recreational, and natural resources in one setting.
