BRECKSVILLE, Ohio—Cuyahoga Valley National Park will temporarily close the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail between Red Lock Trailhead and Brandywine Creek from Monday, March 3, to Friday, May 2, 2025. The trail will be fully closed during this time. It will not reopen during evenings and weekends. The closure will also impact the Valley Trail, which uses the Towpath Trail alignment in this area. No detour is available.

The closure is necessary for public safety while the park installs a new culvert for Brandywine Creek. The new culvert will be adjacent to the historic culvert built in the 1800s as part of the Ohio & Erie Canal.
