Central High School to partner with Children's Book Week 2023 Literary Celebration

Central High School NHS is partnering with Say It Loud! Readers and Writers for Children's Book Week 2023, an event to promote and encourage young people to read, write, and use their voice and communication skills to improve their lives and the communities where they reside.


Scheduled programs will be held at various locations throughout the Little Rock and will be facilitated by local and nationally recognized authors, artists, and educators. All activities listed below are FREE and open to the public.


Featured authors, artists and educators at these events will include:
 

• Mikki Hernandez, voice over actress, founder MixedKids&Co., author of Cake Mix: Learning to love all your ingredients
• Wade Hudson, Just Us Book, Inc., co-founder, author, and co-editor of We Rise, We Resist, We Raise Our Voices
• Patrick M. Oliver, founder, Say It Loud! Readers and Writers, LLC, and author of On My Own: Vision Board Guidebook for Young People
• Katina White, STEM educator and co-author of STEM Looks Like Me: Exploring the World of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math
• Cheryl Willis-Hudson, Just Us Book, Inc., co-founder, and author of Brave. Black. First.: 50+ African American Women Who Changed the World
