Fees & Passes

Free
No entrance pass required

An entrance pass is not required to access Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site.

Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money.

2026 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to US citizens and residents (other fees, including timed entry or reservation fees, may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:

Fee Free Park

There is no charge to enter the visitor center or walk the grounds of Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site; ranger guided programs (reservations required) are free as well. Any fees required for special events will be clearly stated on our park calendar.

Pass Upgrades & Exchanges

Federal policy requires Interagency Passes (including Senior Passes) to be sold and upgraded only at staffed locations that collect entrance or standard amenity fees.

Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site does not charge an entrance or standard amenity fee, so this site is not authorized to process upgrades from a Senior Annual Pass to a Senior Lifetime Pass or an exchange from a Golden Age Passport to a Senior Lifetime Pass.

Visitors who wish to upgrade their Senior Annual Pass or exchange a Golden Age Passport must visit a staffed National Park Service fee-collecting site or another authorized sales outlet to complete the transaction.

Golden Access Passport exchange to Access Pass

Golden Access Passports are no longer sold. However, these passes are still honored according to the provisions of the pass.

While Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site is not an entrance fee or standard amenity fee collection site, we can provide an in-person exchange from a Golden Access Passport to the current Access Pass as this pass is free for those who qualify.

If you would like to exchange your Golden Access Passport to an Access Pass, please bring your Golden Access Passport, a valid photo ID, and documentation confirming eligibility:

Citizen or Resident Verification (one of these)

  • The ID must be a U.S. State or Territory issued driver's license, identification, birth certificate, a U.S. passport, passport card, OR permanent resident card. The ID must match the name of the person obtaining the pass, not a parent in the case of a child.

Disability Verification (one of these)

  • A signed letter from a licensed physician. The letter must state the below three points:
    • That the individual’s disability or impairment is permanent
    • That it severely limits one or more aspects of daily life
    • The nature of those limitations
  • OR a document issued by a Federal agency such as the Department of Veteran Affairs or the Social Security Administration, that states an entitlement to receive disability benefits.
  • OR a document issued by a State agency such as a Vocational Rehabilitation that attests to eligibility to receive benefits as a result of a disability.
