Fee Free Park

There is no charge to enter the visitor center or walk the grounds of Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site; ranger programs and guided tours (reservations required) are free as well. Any fees required for special events will be clearly stated on our park calendar. Below are the passes available at our visitor center.

America The Beautiful - The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass - Every Kid Outdoors - FREE

  • The Every Kid Outdoors Pass is free for U.S. 4th grade students and covers entrance and standard amenity fees (day use fee). The pass is obtained by the 4th grade student exchanging an Every Kid Outdoors pass voucher for the pass. This pass is valid for 12 months beginning September of the year that the student begins 4th grade.
  • To accommodate the many 4th graders that missed out on using their Every Kid Outdoors Pass during the 2019-2020 school year, a new voucher is now available for 5th grade students. With this voucher, 5th graders and their families will have free access to national parks and other federal lands managed by the Department of the Interior through August 31, 2021.
  • To receive the Every Kid Outdoors Pass, the 4th or 5th grade student can bring the voucher to the Visitor Center and receive their free pass.

America The Beautiful - Annual Pass - $80

  • Valid for one full year from month of purchase (through last day of that month).
  • Allows pass owner and accompanying passengers in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle to enter Federally operated recreation sites across the country.
  • Covers the pass owner and three (3) accompanying adults age 16 and older at sites where per person entrance fees are charged. No entry fee charged for children 15 and under.
  • Photo identification will be required to verify ownership.
  • Passes are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
  • NOTE: Recreation Fees vary widely across the thousands of Federal Recreation sites. Please contact specific sites directly for information on what is or is not covered by the passes.

America the Beautiful – The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass - Access Lifetime - FREE

  • Lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities.
  • Documentation is required to obtain the pass.

  • Acceptable documentation includes: statement by a licensed physician; document issued by a Federal agency such as the Veteran’s Administration, Social Security Disability Income or Supplemental Security Income; or document issued by a State agency such as a vocational rehabilitation agency.
  • Provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity.
  • Admits the pass holder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder + 3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas (children under 16 are admitted free).
  • Provides a 50 percent discount on some Expanded Amenity Fees charged for facilities and services such as camping, swimming, boat launching, and specialized interpretive services. In some cases where Expanded Amenity Fees are charged, only the pass holder will be given the 50 percent price reduction.
  • Non-transferable and generally does NOT cover or reduce special recreation permit fees or fees charged by concessionaires.

  • Lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over.
  • Provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity.
  • Admits the pass holder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder + 3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas (children under 16 are admitted free).

  • Valid for one full year from month of purchase (through last day of that month).
  • Please note that the price of the lifetime Senior Pass increased to $80 on August 28, 2017. Also, a new $20 annual Senior Pass became available at the same time. Click HERE for more information regarding the changes in the Senior Pass Program.
  • For U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over.
  • May be obtained in person here, online at store.usgs.gov, or through the mail using the below application form.
  • Provides entrance or access to pass owner and accompanying passengers in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle at Federal operated recreation sites across the country.
  • Photo identification may be required to verify ownership.
  • Passes are NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
  • The cost of obtaining a Senior Pass through the mail is thirty dollars ($30). Twenty ($20) for the Senior Pass and ten ($10) for processing the application. Applicants must provide documentation of age and residency or citizenship. If you cannot order a Senior pass online, you can submit a Paper Application by mail to the USGS using the paper application and enclosing the same documents and $30 fee
  • May provide a 50 percent discount on some amenity fees charged for facilities and services such as camping, swimming, boat launch, and specialized interpretive services
  • Generally does NOT cover or reduce special recreation permit fees or fees charged by concessioners.
 
Military Annual Pass
America The Beautiful - The National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands Military Annual Pass

Redwood National and State Parks, Sam Jezak

America the Beautiful – The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass - Military Annual - FREE

  • Free admission at sites that charge entrance or standard amenity fees for one full year from the month obtained (through last day of that month).
  • Available to Current US military members and the dependents of deployed military in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard, as well as most members of the Current US Reserves and National Guard. Proper military ID is required (CAC Card or DoD Form 1173).
  • Must be obtained in person
  • Covers entrance to Fish and Wildlife Service and National Park Service sites that charge Entrance Fees, and Standard Amenity Fees at Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation sites.
  • Admits the pass owners and any accompanying passengers in a private non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas, or the pass owner and up to additional 3 adults at sites that charge per person.
  • The pass does not cover or provide a discount on expanded amenity fees such as camping, boat launch or interpretive fees.
  • Non-transferable
  • There is not a pass specifically for veterans. Beginning on Veterans Day, November 11, 2020, Gold Star Families and U.S. military veterans receive free access to more than 2,000 federal recreation areas, including national parks, wildlife refuges and forests. The free access program is a way to thank America’s veterans and Gold Star families for their support of our country and to encourage them to explore recreational opportunities on their public lands and waters.
