Park Facility

Independence Visitor Center 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Liberty Bell Center

9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
(security gates close at 4:55 p.m.)

Independence Square

Access to the Square is through a security entrance, located at 5th and Chestnut Sts. The entrance closes 15 minutes prior to the buildings.

Independence Hall

Open 9:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.
Tickets are required (except in January and February). Free timed-tickets can be obtained at the Independence Visitor Center or via the internet for a small fee at: http://www.recreation.gov.
Enter through security at 5th and Chestnut Sts.
(security entrance opens at 8:30 a.m. and closes at 4:45 p.m.)

Did You Know?

Drawing of Independence Hall

Both George Washington and Independence Hall were born in 1732 and both were important in the creation of the United States. Washington was Commander in Chief during the Revolutionary War and our first President. Inside Independence Hall the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were both signed.
