The park is open daily with the exception of Christmas Day. The major park sites are generally open from 9 am - 5 pm with extended hours of operation during the summer months.

B. Free Franklin Post Office Mon. - Sat. 9am - 5pm
City Tavern Open 7 days Opens at 11:30am
Congress Hall Open 7 days 9am - 5pm
Edgar Allan Poe NHS Wed. - Sun. 9am - 5pm
Great Essentials Exhibit (West Wing) Open 7 days 9am - 5pm
Independence Living History Center Mon. - Sat. 9am - 5pm

Thomas Jefferson wrote the rough draft of the Declaration in only a few days? He spent a period of two weeks refining it and even gave a copy to John Adams and Benjamin Franklin for their review.
