Expect smoke around Yellowstone's Northeast Entrance

Date: November 1, 2018

• Wildland fire staff will burn piles of woody debris near the Northeast Entrance on Thursday, November 1.
• Staff will ignite the piles around 10:00 a.m.
• Expect smoke in the area after 10:00 a.m. and through Friday, November 2.
• Burning the piles is the last step of the Firewise project where staff removed vegetation around buildings in order to reduce the threat of wildfire.
