Jemez Springs, NM – Starting today, anglers can visit the park’s Fishing web page (https://www.nps.gov/vall/planyourvisit/fishing.htm) to apply for their 2024-25 fishing permit. Permits can also be obtained by stopping by one of the park’s two visitor service facilities and filling out the application in person. Anglers can apply for either an annual or a seven-day permit.

“We look forward to providing another wonderful season of world-class fishing to the angling community.” Superintendent Jorge Silva-Bañuelos said.

The Fishing web page also provides information on obtaining a State of New Mexico fishing license, fishing rules and regulations, and fishing location descriptions and maps.

A State of New Mexico fishing license is required to fish within Valles Caldera and a backcountry vehicle pass (https://www.nps.gov/vall/planyourvisit/bc.htm) is required for those wishing to drive into the backcountry to fish.
