Backcountry Camping Permits
Free permits are required for camping at all designated backcountry camps in Redwood National and State Parks. These permits are issued in-person upto 24-hours in advance and permits are not issued in the last 30-minutes of a visitor center being open. No phone reservations are made for backcountry permits. Special Use Permits
Commercial filming and commercial photography, events, weddings, first amendment gatherings, scientific research, and scattering of human remains in Redwood National & State Parks require a permit. Learn more about Special Use Permits.
