Developed Campgrounds

Learn More about Camping at these Sites

Redwood National and State Parks offer four developed campgrounds, each managed by California State Parks. These campgrounds provide essential amenities, making them a great option for tent and RV campers. However, due to their historic design, some campsites have size restrictions for larger RVs and trailers.

Reservations

Reservations are strongly recommended, especially during the busy summer months. Availability varies by location, so be sure to check details for each campground before booking. A list of the four sites and their current status can be found, below.

Tip: When making reservations on the Reserve California website, first search by the name of the camp site. For example, use "Jedediah Smith", rather than "Redwoods".

Regulations & Important Considerations

To help protect the park’s natural and cultural resources, please keep the following in mind:

  • Hammocks and ropes are not allowed on trees, as they can damage the bark.
  • Campsite size limits—Many sites were built before the 1940s and may not accommodate today’s larger RVs and trailers.
  • Enforced size restrictions—To preserve park resources and ensure safe access, RV and trailer size limits will be strictly upheld.
