Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore announces application for the 2024 and 2025 commercial operating seasons

Munising, MICHIGAN — Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore will be accepting applications for the 2024 and 2025 commercial operating seasons beginning December 7th, 2023 until January 31st, 2024. The park will be accepting online permit applications for the following use types: 

1. Guided Backpacking  
2. Guided Kayaking  
3. Guided Photography Workshops 
4. Guided Ice Climbing 
5. Transportation Services  

A limited number of permits will be issued to highly qualified applicants based on their relevant experience and operating history as well as their ability to provide for visitor safety while protecting park resources.  

The National Park Service will initiate its online system roll-out for the 2024 Commercial Use Authorization (CUA) season and by the 2025 CUA season, all national parks will be using the system. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore has opted to participate in the initial system roll-out for the 2024 CUA season and will begin accepting CUA applications through the online system starting on December 7th, 2023 at the following address: https://nps-cua-portal.powerappsportals.us/
