Doing Business With The Park

Private businesses play an important role in helping the National Park Service carry out its mission by offering services to park visitors that are not provided directly by the government. By welcoming the private sector as a partner in providing services, we can ensure people have access to services they need to enjoy their visit to the park.

Mammoth Cave issues two types of instruments to permit commercial activity within the national park: a concessions contract and commercial use authorizations.

The Lodge at Mammoth Cave

The Lodge at Mammoth Cave provides lodging, dining, retail, and transportation services under a contract with the federal government.

Commercial Use Authorizations

Commercial Use Authorizations (CUAs) permit commercial activities that are appropriate, have minimal impact, and are consistent with the purpose for which Mammoth Cave was established. CUAs are required for all commercial services provided by a individual, company, or organization.
