Entrance Fee-Free Days for 2023
Come experience the national parks! On five days in 2023, all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone. Mark your calendar for these entrance fee–free dates in 2023:
Other fees such as reservation, camping, lodging, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
Entrance Fees at Grand Canyon National Park
Admission to Grand Canyon National Park is for seven days and includes both the North Rim and South Rim.
Grand Canyon Annual Passes and America the Beautiful passes are available at all Grand Canyon National Park entrance stations. No cash is accepted; credit/debit card only. No refunds are given due to inclement weather.
Admits one single, private, non-commercial motorcycle and its passenger(s).
Individual Permit
Cost: $20 per person (US Dollars)
Admits one individual when entering by foot, bicycle, park shuttle bus, and private rafting trip.
Individuals 15 years old and younger are admitted free of charge.

Buy a Digital Entrance Pass Online
Purchase a digital pass in advance of visiting Grand Canyon National Park. You will have immediate access to your digital pass and can download it on your phone or tablet. Your pass will also be emailed as a PDF and can be printed out before you arrive.
The following digital passes are available on recreation.gov.
Private Vehicle ($35 valid for 7 days): admits everyone traveling with you in your personal vehicle.
Motorcycle ($30 valid for 7 days): admits motorcyclist and up to one passenger.
Individual($20 valid for 7 days): for bicyclists, hikers, and pedestrians.
Passes cover fees for everyone in a personal vehicle (non-commercial vehicles, up to a 15-person passenger van), or up to four adults at sites that charge per person. Children ages 15 or under are admitted free.
Annual Passes, Senior Annual Passes, Senior Lifetime Passes, Access Passes, and Military Passes can be aquired in person at all Grand Canyon National Park entrance stations, online from the USGS Store, or over the phone at (888) ASK-USGS. *Note: There is an additional cost of $10 for passes obtained online.
4th Grade Passes can only be acquired in person. Volunteer Passes are awarded by a volunteer coordinator.
Senior Lifetime and Access Passes provide additional benefits, such as a 50% discount on expanded amenity fees such as camping, swimming, and interpretive services. In some cases, only the pass holder will be given the 50% price reduction. Always check with individual sites for details.
America the Beautiful 2023 Annual Pass

Cost: $80 (U.S. Dollars)
Available to the general public, valid for up to one year from month of sale. Two individuals can sign this pass for use, so long as one individual is present the day of. This pass is non-transferable to other people.
*Note: pass must be present in the vehicle for admission; visitors with photos of passes will not be allowed entrance without purchasing another pass.
Current US military members and their dependents in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force, as well as Reserve and National Guard members.
Please check requirements before arriving, such as showing a valid Common Access Card (CAC), Military ID (Form 1173).
The America the Beautiful Lifetime Senior Pass costs $80.

Cost: $80 (U.S. Dollars)
Available to US citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over. Valid identification must be shown in order to qualify for this pass. This pass is a lifetime pass; it is non-transferable and cannot be replaced if lost.
*Note: Pass holder must be present in the vehicle with valid pass for admission. Visitors with photos of passes will not be allowed entrance without purchasing another pass.
The America the Beautiful 2023 Annual Senior Pass costs $20.

America the Beautiful Access Pass
America the Beautiful - Access Pass
Free
Available to US citizens or permanenet residents with permanent disabilities. This is a lifetime pass; it is non-transferable. If no documentation is available, a statement of disability must be read for pass to be issued at the entrance gate. There is no age requierment for this pass.
*Note: Pass holder must be present in the vehicle with valid pass for admission.
Available to all US citizens and permanent residents that are actively in the 4th grade. Pass is valid during 4th grade school year and summer afterwards; it is non-transferable.
Available for volunteers acquiring 250 service hours on a cumulative basis. This is an annual pass, valid one year from month of aquisition; it is non-transferable.

Grand Canyon National Park - Annual Pass

Available to the general public for purchase for unlimited visits to Grand Canyon National Park only. This is an annual pass, valid one year from month of purchase; it is non-transferable.
It admits the pass holder and any accompanying persons in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle, or the pass holder and accompanying immediate family (spouse, children, parents) when entry is by other means (train, shuttle, bicycle, or foot).
