The Visitor Center includes exhibits, film, bookstore, and restrooms.

Ranger talks offered multiple times between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from March until December and 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in January and February.

Our Colonial Farm features heritage livestock and demonstration crops such as flax and tobacco.

Visit the Washington Family Burial Ground where George Washington's father, grandfather and grandmother, and great-grandfather and great-grandmother are buried.

A two mile loop Nature Trail can be accessed either from Historic Area or at the Picnic Area.

The Potomac River beach offers view of the river and Maryland, as well as walking, sunbathing, and fishing.

Pets are not allowed in the Historic Area. In all other parts of the park please remember to keep your pets on leashes at ALL times while hiking, walking or jogging . We hope you enjoy visiting YOUR National Park!

This 1932 re-creation of the Washington family is done in the "Colonial Period" style, with a formal design, brick walkways and English box, enclosed by a wooden picket fence.
