CVNP Summer 2017 Schedule of Events Now Available
The Summer 2017 Schedule of Events for Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) is now online at www.nps.gov/cuva/planyourvisit/calendar.htm. This event listing includes programs and activities throughout the park for the months of June, July, and August. The printed schedule is also available at Boston Store Visitor Center, located at 1550 Boston Mills Road, Peninsula 44264.

Tourism to Cuyahoga Valley National Park creates $87 million in Economic Benefits
A new National Park Service (NPS) report shows that nearly 2.5 million visitors to Cuyahoga Valley National Park in 2016 spent nearly $70 million in communities near the park. That spending supported over 1,000 jobs in the local area and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of over $87 million.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park Receives Education and Public Engagement Awards
Five park program leaders received awards from the National Park Service (NPS) for their achievements in Relevance in Education; and Relevance in Public Engagement and Resource Stewardship. The awards recognize staff members from among the country’s 417 national parks.

National Park Service to Temporarily Close Towpath Trail Section in Valley View
The Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail will be closed from no earlier than 6:00 a.m. Monday March 6, 2017 through March 2018 between Hillside Road and Stone Road in Valley View.

Bald Eagles Nest at Cuyahoga Valley National Park
A pair of bald eagles has once again returned and is actively tending to its nest within the Pinery Narrows area in Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP). To protect the eagles from human disturbance, the area surrounding the nest tree will be closed until July 31, 2017.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park to Open New Visitor Center in 2019
Cuyahoga Valley National Park will open a new Visitor Center in the village of Boston. The $5.9 million facility will help orient newcomers to the park, and connect locals to the its wide array of landscapes and programs.

Cleveland Selected as a Focus City for the Every Kid in a Park Program
Cuyahoga Valley National Park was selected to receive a $210,000 field trip grant from the National Park Foundation, the official charity of America’s national parks, to support the Every Kid in a Park program.
