For Immediate Release: Friday, August 28th, 2020Hereford, AZ - Thursday morning, National Park Rangers discovered the unidentified body of an adult male in a wash near East Montezuma Canyon Road. Cochise County Sheriff’s Department was contacted. Deputies and crime scene personnel among other Cochise County authorities responded.
The County is now leading an investigation with support from the NPS. US Customs and Border Protection is also consulting in the investigation. No identity has been established for the body as of Friday Morning, August 28. Cochise County is in custody of the body after it was recovered by a County search and rescue team.
