SPRINGDALE, UT - The National Park Service, Planning, Environment, and Public Comment website, https://parkplanning.nps.gov/zion, was inoperable for a period of time this weekend, due to regularly schedule maintenance. Because the site was unable to receive comments, Park officials have extended the comment period through Friday August 18, 2017.

The Alternatives are intended to address the unacceptable impacts to Park resources, and the quality of visitor experience associated with the unsustainable growth in visitation. A copy of the newsletter that describes the Preliminary Alternative Concepts, is available for download on the site. The public is encouraged to comment.
