Fire Contained at Zion National Park

SPRINGDALE, UT – Fire Management Officials at Zion National Park confirmed at 4:00 pm a fire that was four and a half acres in size was contained. The fire was located near the South Campground and entrance of Zion National Park in Springdale. Please note that smoke may be visible from the burn area for the next couple of days. Visitors are reminded that conditions are dry in the low elevations.

 

The fire is confirmed to be human caused and is currently under investigation. This was the third human caused fire in Color Country today.
