SPRINGDALE, UT – The Human History Museum Shuttle Stop Comfort Station is a new restroom facility that is to be constructed at the south end of the Human History Museum parking lot. Construction of the comfort station is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 4, 2021, with an anticipated completion by the end of March 2022.

This almost 1000 square foot comfort station will more than double the capacity of the existing Human History Museum restrooms, provide accessibility and family restrooms, and provide a water fountain and water bottle filling station. The exterior architecture elements will be compatible with the nearby existing Mission 66 era Administration and Museum building. The additional restroom facilities are needed to accommodate the increasing visitor day use and improve accessibility, that the current museum restroom cannot adequately provide.

The trail connecting the Human History Museum with the Pa’rus Trail will be closed to the public for the duration of the construction period. The driveway and entire Human History Museum parking lot will be closed to the public for the month of October and possibly for the duration of the construction timeframe. As construction proceeds, the parking area may be opened if public safety and traffic flow around the construction site can be maintained.
