Yosemite National Park and The Ansel Adams Gallery are pleased to announce the 9th Annual Gateway Expressions Student Art and Photography Contest. This contest celebrates the artistic creativity of our local youth living in Yosemite’s gateway communities.

The Gateway Expressions Student Art and Photography Contest is open to all students, grades TK-12, who live within the gateway community school districts near Yosemite National Park, including the communities of Bass Lake, Groveland, Chawanakee, Mammoth, Bishop, Mariposa, Oakhurst, and Sonora, California.

All contest entries must be submitted by Saturday, September 14, 2019. All artwork should be original and have a connection to Yosemite National Park. Subject matter can focus on wildlife, plants, scenic areas, iconic features, seasonal changes, conservation and protection, or the legacy that Yosemite represents.

Selected student artwork and photography will be featured at The Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite Valley. Students will also be recognized at a special awards ceremony held at The Ansel Adams Gallery on Saturday, October 5, 2019. Contest winners will be notified by phone and email.
