NPS Centennial and Yosemite Anniversaries

2014 through 2016 was a time of anniversaries, including the 150th of Yosemite's original protection under federal law (1864) as well as the centennial of the formation of the National Park Service.

Work With Us

The National Park Service and several other organizations have employment opportunities.

Yosemite has a large and vibrant volunteer program, welcoming people from all over the world into a variety of positions.

Park Partners

Yosemite National Park relies on several partners to protect the park and provide an excellent experience for visitors. Yosemite also partners with national parks in other countries for mutual benefits.

Zero Landfill Initiative

Between visitors and staff, we end up with nearly 2,200 tons of garbage annually. This is not the legacy anyone intends to leave behind. Learn more about how to be a "Yosemite Zero Hero."

Park Planning

Find information about park planning efforts, such as the Merced River Plan and Tuolumne River Plan.

You can make donations to three of Yosemite's non-profit partners: Yosemite Conservancy, NatureBridge, and Friends of Yosemite Search and Rescue.
