While the listed areas are accessible for visitors to enjoy, services may be limited. The CDC has offered guidance to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. We will continue to monitor all park functions to ensure that visitors adhere to CDC guidance for mitigating risks associated with the transmission of COVID-19 and take any additional steps necessary to protect public health. 2022 Train Schedule

Train rides have returned to Steamtown National Historic Site (NHS) for the 2022 season. Rail experiences vary from short 30-minute trips exploring the park’s historic railroad yard to full-day trips through the Poconos.

Entering or remaining in any of the indoor locations identified in the table above after being asked not to enter or to leave the location because the maximum occupancy has been reached is prohibited.

The following spaces and activities are available during regular business hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm, daily:

  • Visitor Center
  • Park Store
  • 1902 Roundhouse including the "Cut-a-Way" display
  • 1937 Roundhouse
  • Theater
  • History Museum
  • Technology Museum
  • Designated areas within the Railyard (Remember, Steamtown is a working railroad site, so please be careful. Look out for moving trains and other vehicles at all times.)
  • Train rides resumed Saturday, May 14th for the 2022 season.
