2023 Train Schedule - Coming Soon!

Steamtown National Historic Site is currently working with station partners to develop the 2023 train schedule. We do not have a published schedule at this time. While scheduling may vary from season to season, we encourage visitors to explore the previous season's schedule to aid in planning for upcoming visits to Steamtown NHS. During our regular operating season, rail experiences vary from short 30-minute trips exploring the park’s historic railroad yard to full-day trips through the Poconos.


The following spaces and activities are available during regular business hours of 10:00am - 4:00pm, daily:

  • Information Kiosk
  • Park Store
  • 1937 Roundhouse
  • Designated areas within the Railyard (Remember, Steamtown is a working railroad site, so please be careful. Look out for moving trains and other vehicles at all times.)


The following spaces are closed:

  • Visitor Center
  • Theater
  • History Museum
  • Technology Museum
  • Imagination Station
  • Archeology Pit
