Visitors can buy standard 7-day passes for vehicles ($30), motorcyclists ($25), and bicyclists/pedestrians ($15) when the station does not have staff present. Retain your receipt for re-entry.
No. Shenandoah National Park transitioned to a fully cashless fee system in 2025 and accepts only credit or debit cards for entrance fees.

You can buy standard 7-day passes at the automated entry stations when staff are not present. Within 7 days, bring your receipt to an entrance station during operating hours to upgrade.

The automated entry stations include a barcode reader that scans your standard 7-day, annual, or lifetime pass.
