POINT REYES STATION, CA – Calling all area youth! Looking for work this summer, enjoy physical work and being outside? Point Reyes National Seashore is currently accepting applications for its eight-week summer Youth Conservation Corps Program (YCC).
During the program, YCC participants learn technical and core skills involved with trails and ground maintenance, resource management, and removal of downed trees. Work locations will vary from forested trails to seashore beach areas.
The YCC program will start Monday, June 12 and end Friday, August 4. Work hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The hourly rate is $16.80. YCC crew members are responsible for their own transportation to and from Point Reyes National Seashore headquarters area.
Applicants must be physically fit, capable of hiking up to 10 miles, and can work with hand tools. Work is performed outdoors with exposure to the elements. Medical history forms and work permits required prior to employment.
