NATIONAL PARKS OF NEW YORK HARBOR

National Parks of New York Harbor (NPNH) includes 12 national park sites that surround the Port of New York, covering an area of nearly 27,000 acres and hosting more than 18 million annual visitors. All sites are part of the National Park Service, an agency of the United States Department of the Interior.

NPNH includes some of our nation's most significant urban national parks, including Statue of Liberty National Monument & Ellis Island, Gateway National Recreation Area, Governors Island National Monument, African Burial Ground National Monument, Federal Hall National Memorial, Castle Clinton National Monument, Hamilton Grange National Memorial, General Grant National Memorial, St. Paul’s Church National Historic Site, Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace National Historic Site, and Stonewall National Monument. The Lower East Side Tenement Museum is also an NPS-affiliated site with NPNH.

The National Parks of New York Harbor Conservancy was founded in 2005 as the official 501(c)(3) nonprofit partner of the National Park Service and its 24 sites on New York Harbor. We are charged with improving access to these special places, enhancing the visitor experience with transformational programs and developing earned revenue initiatives toward their sustainability.
