Seasonal Campground Openings 2019

Joshua Tree National Park staff will reopen all campgrounds on August 30, 2019 in anticipation of the upcoming busy season.

Beginning on that Friday, August 30, the following campgrounds will require online reservations that can be made at www.recreation.gov:

• Cottonwood Campground
• Indian Cove Campground  
• Black Rock Campground
• Black Rock Equestrian Campground
• Jumbo Rocks Campground

From August 30, 2019 through May 26, 2020 reservations can be made from six months up to one day in advance at www.recreation.gov for an individual/family site. Group site reservations may be made six months up to one day in advance and are available to reserve year-round.

The reservation system is available for campers planning for the Labor Day weekend.
