No Sign of Missing L.A. Couple in Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree National Park, Twentynine Palms, CA – Park rangers have been looking for a missing Los Angeles couple believed to have been possibly travelling to the park and or, the Imperial Dunes area. Visitor centers have been alerted and a thorough search of roads and campgrounds have failed to result in any lead in the couple’s disappearance. Park staff will continue to search and be on the lookout as part of normal duties.
 
Any private individuals searching for the party should know that cell service is not reliable in the park or on the public lands surrounding the park. In addition the park encourages searchers to check in with San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department or Joshua Tree National Park Chief Ranger to provide additional background and assist in their independent search efforts. Anyone with information is urged to call the Los Angeles Police Department Missing Person Unit Detective Guevara at (213) 996-1800 or (877) 527-3247 during non-business hours. Those wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
