Joshua Tree National Park, Twentynine Palms, CA –

The National Park Foundation and Coleman Company, Inc. are teaming up for the National Park Service's Centennial year to encourage youth and their families to experience the great outdoors. On Saturday, May 14th, 60 young people from the Boys and Girls Club, along with parents, will camp at Indian Cove campground. In addition, the Coleman Adventure Experience mobile museum will be at the Oasis Visitor Center parking lot all day Saturday the 14th and is open to the public. Through century old product displays dating back to the WW2 era, to stories of our partnership with the National Park Foundation and, of course, fun giveaways, the Coleman Adventure Experience will surely inspire your next outdoor adventure.

Camping is a great way to experience the park and this event as well as others is designed to introduce youngsters and their families to the park, particularly during the centennial year. Higher elevations in the park and reduced crowds make summer camping a good time to spend the night under the stars.

The park invites you to come experience these interesting and educational exhibits for yourself and help celebrate the National Park Service's Centennial Year. Come out and find your park!
