Joshua Tree National Park, Twentynine Palms, CA—Park officials reopened Keys View Road after a weekend closure for search and rescue operations. Access to Keys View Overlook was closed to park visitors as a safety precaution for search and helicopter operations.

Search operations for Mike Rodriquez, a 58-year-old Azusa man, have been suspended in the park. The incident has been reclassified as a missing person investigation and has been turned over to Riverside County Sheriff's Department. Anyone having information should contact sheriff's investigators at 760-836-3215.
