To honor all Americans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, there will be free entrance to the park for all visitors for that day. Many National Park Service employees served in the military. Joshua Tree National Park thanks them for their service and their continuing dedication to their country as they work to preserve and protect the nation's heritage. Visit the park's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/joshuatreenp) on Veterans Day to see some of the many contributions these American heroes make to Joshua Tree.
Active duty military members and their dependents are reminded that they are eligible for a free America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass. This pass allows free entrance to Joshua Tree and many other federally-managed public lands on any day of the year.
