Ranger Programs
  • Tactile objects: All ranger programs strive to engage multiple senses and learning styles, and they often include audio components and/or tactile objects.
  • Trails: The trails upon which rangers lead hikes are often well-compacted dirt, although some can also include rocky terrain, roots, or other tripping hazards, especially after rain and during spring thaw. The hike to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point is much more challenging.
  • Programs: Find a complete listing of Ranger Programs on our website. Or visit our calendar page.

Trails
  • Grand Teton National Park has over 235 miles of maintained trails. The surfaces range from level, compacted soil to uneven, broken rocks. Slopes range from level up to 20% grade, but most trails do not exceed 10-15% grade. Hiking in this park can be a challenging experience due to the rugged nature of the landscape, high altitude, steep, uneven trails, and extreme and sudden weather changes. Be sure to download the Day Hike and Lakeshore Trail brochures for suggested hikes and safety recommendations.
