Cyclists and pathway users in the southern area of Grand Teton National Park are advised that a pathway closure between the southern and northern portions of the Gros Ventre Roundabout will occur beginning tomorrow, Friday, September 14, for approximately ten days. During this pathway closure, experienced pathway users may travel along the highway on the road shoulder and through the partial roundabout.

The pathway closure is due to construction of the Gros Ventre Roundabout and other safety improvements along U.S. Highway 26/89/191.  Travelers should respect the speed limit in the area, be alert to changing conditions and follow the directional signing, as well as be prepared for approximately 15-minute daytime delays and 30-minute nighttime delays in the area.  These delays are in addition to any that may be encountered with typical traffic levels.

The project is planned to be completed by the end of November. The construction schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions and other factors. Updates will be communicated via roadside signs, park road information line (307.739.3682), park website (www.nps.gov/grte), and park social media (@GrandTetonNPS on Facebook and Twitter).
