With the enactment of the continuing resolution, staff at Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Muir Woods National Monument, and Fort Point National Historic Site has resumed regularly scheduled operations. All areas of these parks are open for regular operations. Please visit nps.gov/goganps.gov/muwo, and nps.gov/fopo for normal hours of operation. In the Marin Headlands, the traffic plan for all roads has returned to two-way operation.

Said Communications Director Charles Strickfaden, "We especially appreciate the support of business and community partners that provided donations to keep park units open. These include: Muir Woods National Monument - Muir Woods Trading Company and Ace Parking Management Inc; Alcatraz Island- Alcatraz Cruises; Stinson Park - Siren Canteen; and Fort Funston - San Francisco Dog Owners Group. Thanks also to the Presidio Trust and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy for providing assistance during this period. The employees of the National Park Service are happy to be back at work, serving the American people, and welcoming visitors to their national parks from all over the world!"
