WEST GLACIER, Mont. [May 23, 2025] – The National Park Service has issued a prospectus soliciting proposals for the award of a concession contract to provide backcountry lodging, food and beverage, and other services at Granite Park and Sperry Chalets within Glacier National Park.
Services under the new contract are expected to begin January 1, 2026, with a term of 10 years.
The prospectus for this new opportunity is being advertised at: https://sam.gov. The prospectus can be found online at https://www.nps.gov/subjects/concessions/prospectuses.htm. Hard copies of the prospectus will not be distributed. The released prospectus outlines this business opportunity and provides details on how to submit a responsive proposal. Parties interested in learning more about these opportunities and how to submit a proposal should visit the National Park Service Commercial Services website.
Anyone who plans to submit a proposal in response to this solicitation, including the Existing Concessioner, must notify Erica Harris, Acting Commercial Services Program Lead, via email at imr_concessions@nps.gov no later than 4:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time on the Notifications of Intent to Propose due date shown on the inside cover of the Prospectus. All Questions related to the business opportunity must be submitted by e-mail to imr_concessions@nps.gov no later than 4 p.m. Mountain Standard Time on June 3, 2025 as shown on the inside cover of the Prospectus.
Concessions contracts are developed and issued under the authority of the Concessions Management Improvement Act of 1998, P.L. 105-391, and its attending regulations in 36 CFR §51. Concessions Contracts are long-term contracts between the National Park Service and a business to provide visitor services that are necessary and appropriate in achieving the mission of the park, including providing for visitor enjoyment. Contracts may be in effect for many years and may involve the use and care of federal facilities and assets.
