WEST GLACIER, Mont. [March 30, 2021] –The National Park Service announces a Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) seeking responses from individuals, educational institutions, government agencies or entities, and non-profit or for-profit organizations, interested in the preservation and re-use of one or more historic buildings at Glacier National Park through a lease with the National Park Service.

The NPS invites individuals and/or organizations to express their interest in leasing, rehabilitating, preserving and maintaining one or more properties on the shore of Lake McDonald within Glacier National Park, including Greve&#’;s Cabin, Fox-Grisley Cabin, and Henderson House.

In recent years, Glacier National Park has come into possession of several once privately-owned recreation properties, including the properties listed above on the shore of Lake McDonald. The cabins and outbuildings are eligible for listing or are already listed in the National Register of Historic Places (Moberly). All have been unoccupied for some time and will require maintenance and repair to varying degrees.

Additional information on the facilities, park, and process are available in the NHRP. Copies of the RFEI are available for downloading at beta.SAM.gov

A formal site tour will be held to allow interested parties to observe existing conditions at each of the properties, including building interiors on April 28, 2021. Additional information regarding the site tour will be sent to interested parties upon request (see the contact information in the RFEI.) None of the buildings are currently open to the public.
