WEST GLACIER, MT. – The National Park Service (NPS) has released a prospectus soliciting proposals for the award of a new concession contract to provide Guided Interpretive Day Hiking and Backpacking Services in Glacier National Park.
The current concession contract for this service, held by Glacier Guides, Inc., will expire on December 31, 2018. The new 10-year concession contract is anticipated to take effect January 1, 2019.
Parties interested in learning more about this opportunity and how to submit a proposal should visit the National Park Service Commercial Services website at https://www.nps.gov/commercialservices/prospectuses.htm. This site can be used to access the prospectus, which explains the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the contract. Interested parties who download a copy of the prospectus from the NPS website should also notify Jennifer Parker at jennifer_parker@nps.gov in order to be notified about modifications to or correspondence about this prospectus.
Hard copies of the prospectus are available for a fee and must be requested from the National Park Service Intermountain Regional Office per the information on the National Park Service Commercial Services website.
Any proposal, including that of the existing concessioner, must be received by Jennifer Parker, Chief of Concessions, NPS, Intermountain Region, 12795 W. Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80228, no later than 4 p.m. MST on February 8, 2018. Questions related to the business opportunity must be submitted by e-mail to jennifer_parker@nps.gov no later than 4 p.m. MST on December 15, 2017. All questions will be responded to in writing.
