After passing the ponds at Watergate, the trail follows Vancampens Brook into a hemlock glen. The clear stream is popular with anglers for native trout. Near the small waterfall, a side trail leads to the Upper Glen parking area. The trail continues to follow the brook downstream to end near the location that Old Mine Road crosses the Vancampen Brook. To extend the hike, cross the road to connect with the Pioneer Trail or the Hamilton Ridge Trail and loop back to the Watergate area via Millbrook Village.
