Entrance Passes

An entrance pass is not required to access Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money.

Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area does not charge an entrance fee, but certain areas are subject to expanded amenity fees.

The expanded amenity fees help pay for services such as lifeguards at swim beaches, river safety equipment for law enforcement officers, and maintenance staff.

Park Fees


Amenity fees will be charged from April 17th, 2023 to Mid-October 2023.

Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area does not charge entrance fees to visit the park. Specific areas used for swimming, picnicking, and launching boats do have expanded amenity fees. These fees cover the cost of maintenance in these areas.

Expanded Amenity Fee Areas

  • Milford Beach (PA)
  • Dingmans Access (PA)
  • Bushkill Access (PA)
  • Smithfield Beach (PA)
  • Turtle Beach (NJ)

Please Note: Smithfield, Milford, and Turtle Beaches will only accept credit/debit card payments when employees are on duty. Separate payment stations are available for cash payment. Cash is accepted at all other fee areas in the park and at the three beaches when fee collectors are not on duty. Credit/debit card payments cannot be made at Dingmans and Bushkill Accesses.

Important Fee Information

  • No fees are charged to people who are dropping off or picking up someone from any river access ramps and those walking through Smithfield Beach on McDade Recreational Trail.
  • Expanded Amenity Fees are not covered by America the Beautiful Annual Pass. Holders of the following passes are eligible for a 50% discount on the Expanded Amenity Fees:
    • America the Beautiful Access Pass
    • America the Beautiful Senior Annual/Lifetime Pass
    • America The Beautiful Military Annual/Lifetime Pass
 

Park Entrance Fees

Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area does not charge entrance fees to the park. However, certain sites are subject to expanded amenity fees.

Park Entrance Fee - Free

The Park does does not charge an entrance fee but does have expanded amenity fees.

Park Vehicle Season Pass - $45.00

We have season passes for $45.00 that are good for one vehicle only in this park only (DEWA); a 2nd pass for vehicles registered to same address is $25.00; a 3rd pass for vehicles registered to same address is $12.50, and 4th pass for vehicles registered to same address is $6.25. Senior and Accessible fees are 1/2 price of season passes.

Vehicle Expanded amenity fee - $10.00

Expanded amenity fees are collected at Smithfield Beach, Milford Beach, Bushkill Access, in Dingmans Access in PA and Turtle Beach and Watergate in NJ. Daily fees are per vehicle for up to 7 adult occupants. Any additional adults are $2.00 per person. We do not charge for children 15 and younger.

Bicycle expanded amenity fee - $2.00

Expanded amenity fees are collected at Smithfield Beach, Milford Beach, Bushkill Access, in Dingmans Access in PA and Turtle Beach and Watergate in NJ. Those who walk or bicycle in to use the beaches are charged a fee.

Pedestrian expanded amenity fee - $2.00

Expanded amenity fees are collected at Smithfield Beach, Milford Beach, Bushkill Access, in Dingmans Access in PA and Turtle Beach and Watergate in NJ. Those who walk in to use the beaches are charged a fee.

Season passes for Delaware Water Gap NRA can be purchased by mail, over the phone, or in-person during open business hours.

  • Season Pass: $45
  • Second Season Pass registered to the same name and address: $25
  • Third Season Pass registered to the same name and address: $12.50


America the Beautiful Senior, Military, and Access Pass and National Park Service Golden Age and Golden Access Pass holders are eligible for a 50% discount on season passes.

National Park and Federal Recreational Lands Pass

If you plan to visit public lands with an entrance fee, check out the America the Beautiful Pass Program. These passes cover entrance fees, certain expanded amenity fees, and provide discounts at designated federal lands. Every Kid Outdoors

Every Kid Outdoors Pass 

For Fourth Grade Students

Beginning on September 1st every year, fourth grade students can use this link to get a voucher for the Every Kid Outdoors Annual 4th Grade Pass during the school year. The voucher can be redeemed for the 4th Grade Pass at any location that sells America The Beautiful Passes.

With this pass, 4th graders and their families have access to national parks and other federal lands from September through August 31 every school year.
 

How to Get Your Pass:

  1. Click on the Every Kid Outdoors link

  2. Select Get Your Pass and apply for the voucher.

  3. Bring your voucher to a public land site that sells America The Beautiful passes.

  4. Plan your visit to the public land sites of your choice.

  5. Show your pass at the entrance to the park and enjoy!
