New exhibits for the Capitol Reef Visitor Center will soon be installed. To facilitate the installation, the visitor center will be closed from February 21 – March 2, 2022.

This milestone, in conjunction with the rehabilitation of the interior of the visitor center in 2021, completes a multi-year project to update the exhibits to better interpret the many and diverse resources of the park as it celebrates its 50th year.

Visitors planning to visit can find information about the park on the website at www.nps.gov/care or with the NPS app. Many frequently asked questions can be answered by calling 435-425-3791. Park maps and Fruita area guides, including hiking trail information, are available outside the visitor center. The park store is always open online at www.capitolreefnha.org.
