MANTEO, N.C. — Cape Hatteras National Seashore, in collaboration with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and North Carolina Department of Transportation, will open the Bonner Bridge Pier to the public at 8 a.m. Oct. 1, 2021.
The 1,046-foot remaining section of the former Bonner Bridge, located next to the south end of the Basnight Bridge, will open as a fee free pier, accessible 24 hours a day.
Parking for approximately 70 vehicles is available near the pier. Additionally, portable restrooms and trash receptacles are available for public use.

A valid North Carolina Coastal Recreational Fishing License is required to fish from the pier.To view more photos of the Bonner Bridge Pier, visit Cape Hatteras National Seashore’s Flickr album. A webcam is scheduled to be installed at the pier in the coming days.
