HOMESTEAD, FL --- Park After Dark night programs featuring a story slam, music concert and canoe tours will take place from February 16 through April 13, 2019 in Biscayne National Park.
 
  • Story Slam! at the Dante Fascell Visitor Center, February 16, 2019, at 7 p.m. - Storytellers share true, personal, stories centered around the theme “adventure”. Hosting the event is Gabriela Fernandez of the Moth in Miami. 
  • Music Concert at the Dante Fascell Visitor Center, March 16, 2019, at 7 p.m. - Grant Livingston, singer and songwriter shares his love of South Florida through music. Bring a picnic dinner and a lawn chair.
  • Canoe Tour at Convoy Point canoe launch, April 13, 2019, at 6 and 7:30 p.m. - Reservations are required for this free, guided tour. Phone 786-335-3644.

The Convoy Point grounds and the Dante Fascell Visitor Center will remain open until 9 p.m. on the nights of the events. Telescopes will be set up for viewing the night sky and there will be s’mores around the campfire.

Paddle craft rentals and boat tours will be available for an additional fee. Phone 786-335-3644 for details and reservations.
