Lovell, WY – Bighorn Canyon National Recreation is seeking a vendor to provide campground services at the Horseshoe Bend and Trail Creek campgrounds. The selected vendor will be assigned the management of both facilities.
Horseshoe Bend is the jumping off point for exploring the park from the Wyoming end. The campground is located uphill from the Horseshoe Bend Marina and is nestled among a sagebrush and juniper woodland community. There are 59 campsites (19 have water and electric hook-ups) in Horseshoe Bend Campground. The campground is a short 14 mile drive north of Lovell, Wyoming, via WY Hwy 37. Modern restrooms, a dump station, and drinking water are available at this location.
Trail Creek is a primitive campground 27 miles north of Lovell, Wyoming, via WY Hwy 37 and a park road. 16 RV and 14 tent sites are nestled among various deciduous trees that line the side canyon of Trail Creek. Two vault toilets are available, but there is no drinking water or RV hook-ups at this location.
The vendor would be required to manage both campgrounds. This includes managing campground fees, reservations, collection of campground statistics, and light maintenance at the campground sites. A copy of the RFP (Request for Proposals) is listed on the FedBiz.gov website (https://www.fbo.gov/index.php?s=opportunity&mode=form&id=3d89f3acf3714f2fc7e9618069bb2c83&tab=core&_cview=0). Interested parties should review the RFP on this site. If more information is needed, please contact Todd Johnson, 307-548-5423. Proposals will need to be returned to the park by November 1, 2019.
